Our ministry partners
Across our rapidly changing world we see the Holy Spirit fostering a new era of global mission partnership and collaboration.
Throughout our history, Baptist Mission Australia has been committed to partnering with others, affirming we are stronger together sharing the love and hope of Jesus.
Today, 68% of followers of Jesus live in the global south (the non-western world) and it’s estimated by 2050 this figure will rise to 77%.
With this huge shift in world Christianity, Baptist Mission Australia is committed to strengthening existing and developing new global south partnerships aligned with our vision and key causes.
We will also expand innovative partnerships at home as ‘the world’ continues to come to Australia.
As faith communities grow and local leaders are developed, we’re committed to building partnerships that empower locally led mission initiatives in places where our teams serve. And in other locations across the globe, we strategically partnering with Baptist churches and other Christian groups in the shared pursuit of our four key causes.

Our ministry partners
Asia Pacific Baptist Federation
We’re excited to collaborate in missional activities with Baptist sisters and brothers across the Asia Pacific region. As well as actively engaging in APBF networks, we co-sponsor the strategic Director of Mission role. This role is catalysing mission across the Asia-Pacific region and supporting the development of mission-focused leaders.
Bangladesh
Our ministry engagement in Bangladesh goes back to the 1880s and we have so much to celebrate and be thankful for. Today we’re supporting the training of a new generation of ministry leaders through our partnership with the College of Christian Theology Bangladesh (CCTB). More than 7000 students access training through CCTB’s multiple levels of theological education.
Baptist World Alliance
The Baptist World Alliance represents more than 51,000,000 followers of Jesus across the globe, with the vision of networking the Baptist family to impact the world for Christ. As well as actively engaging in BWA networks, we financially support evangelism initiatives in least-resourced Baptist conventions and are involved in mission research and partnership projects.
Cambodia
In Cambodia we’re partnering with Peace Bridges, an organisation Baptist Mission Australia team members helped establish in 2008, against the backdrop of the nation’s highly conflicted and violent history. Peace Bridges has a vision “to see all people in Cambodia living with peace, dignity and justice”. It establishes long-term community partnerships and has trained more than 4000 people in local communities, workplaces and churches to work towards ending destructive cycles of violence and fostering justice, equity and peace.
