Vietnam

People group: Vietnamese
Population: 82 million
Main religions: Folk Religion and Buddhism

Our team in Vietnam serves through a local organisation that exists to equip, empower and enable marginalised young people with disabilities to work and live independently. They also support an emerging faith community as well as vulnerable mothers and disadvantaged children.

“Pray for our team as we engage with local people through various initiatives which allow us to build meaningful relationships and share God’s love in relevant ways.

Through the maternal health project, local women are learning about healthy practices in pregnancy and being equipped to advocate for themselves, especially during labour. Over the past year, we have seen 15 children regularly join our Kidz Club ministry. We are encouraged to see positive changes in them as they have fun learning about Jesus.”

– Mark

Through our partner Company of Grace, local people with disabilities are employed and trained. While there is still stigma around disability in Vietnam, we are seeing growing respect from the wider community for the local staff with disabilities as they contribute to community events and activities. Pray for God’s guidance in the year of ministry ahead.
