Church Engagement
Coming alongside and partnering with Baptist churches across Australia is at the heart of all we do.
From our faithful beginnings until today, local Baptist churches have been front and centre in our shared witness of Jesus around the world.
We see that local churches exist for mission. We believe that all local church communities are called to join God in his restoring and loving mission in their own communities, as well as across the world. Healthy, vibrant churches are marked by this local and global mission commitment.
Baptist Mission Australia exists to support churches bring this commitment to life.
Increasingly we want our partnership with local churches to be marked by mutuality – where we support each other in local and global mission.
Yes, partnership has similarities, but we’re committed to tailoring partnership plans that suit the needs of your local faith community.
With our intercultural expertise we can help your church more effectively cross the street in changing communities with the hope of Jesus. We can provide you with personal connections to Baptist Mission Australia team members, ministry partners and projects.
We’re also seeking the Spirit’s leading as we explore new opportunities to partner with Baptist churches in intercultural mission initiatives in Australia.
We wouldn’t exist without the support of our Australian Baptist movement. And across Africa, Asia and Australia today Baptist Mission Australia serves as our movement’s intercultural mission agency. We are uniquely positioned to help Baptist churches multiply Kingdom impact – locally and across the world.
Why partner with us?
Here’s some of the tailored ways we can build a mutually beneficial mission partnership with your church.
Supporting your church to engage with your local community more effectively, including equipping people in crossing cultural and religious barriers with the good news of Jesus.
Helping raise global mission awareness and communicate the importance of churches being engaged in local and global mission.
Providing opportunities for your church to focus attention, prayer and financial support on a specific location, team member, ministry partner or project across the world.
Coming alongside people in your church discerning the possibility of intercultural mission service, including 1:1 mission coaching and awareness courses.
Inviting people from your church to share in Global Exposure or other short-term mission experiences.
Having one of our gifted communicators speak at a church service or event.
Giving you free access to a wide range of high-quality digital mission resources.
Inviting your participation in May Mission Month and Walk the World.
Sparking learning and curiosity through training in areas such as missional reimagination, cultural intelligence, integral mission and contextualisation.
Lending our experience to support your leaders in the development of a dynamic mission strategy or assisting with mission support policies.
Together we’re sharing the good news of Jesus across the world in ways that make sense!

Historically, one of the primary reasons Baptist churches partnered together is for the sake of the Gospel. I value the deep sense of history and friendship we have with Baptist Mission Australia.
