Lynette

Serving in the Australian Intercultural Team

Lynette is a Warlpiri woman from Lajamanu in the Northern Territory. She is a thoughtful, gifted and godly leader who is deeply respected by her community, fellow First Nations leaders and the Outback Australia Team.

Lynette serves as an assistant pastor in her local church and also works part-time with the World Vision Channels of Hope program, in the domestic violence prevention space. Her background as a Walpiri woman and mature Christian leader uniquely contributes to our Outback Australia team. Her insights, wisdom and experience are equipping the team to recognise cross cultural blind spots and grow relationships with First Nations faith communities.

In joining with Baptist Mission Australia Lynette plays an important role in the development of discipleship practices, leadership training initiatives and fostering healthy relational environments within faith communities, taking into consideration factors such as culture, family, language, ceremony and law.

Lynette is thankful for your partnership on this journey as she follows the calling of Wapirra (God) to serve her people, helping them come to know Jesus and notice things that point to Him in their culture. Please pray for Lynette as she steps into this space.

Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.
