Baptist Mission Australia is proud to be partnering with Nungalinya College in this vision. We support them in their commitment to provide a learning environment that deeply respects, engages with and makes use of the strengths of Indigenous traditions.
Nungalinya College is an Indigenous Adult Training Organisation based in the Northern Territory, offering courses from introductory literacy and numeracy through to theology, chaplaincy, family wellbeing and more. Their impact is seen in more than 70 remote and rural communities and hundreds of Indigenous women and men have had the opportunity to be supported in their education and faith journeys.
One of the most critical components of Nungalinya College success is the involvement of Indigenous teachers. These educators bring invaluable lived experience, cultural understanding, and unique perspectives that are essential in creating a learning environment that is both culturally respectful and Biblically grounded.
