Hobart Nepali Mission Partnership

Established in 2010 as part of Citywide Baptist Church, the Hobart Nepali Church is the only congregation of Nepalese people in Hobart. People can practice their faith in their native Nepali language, which promotes Nepalese cultural life and preserves the language for the next generation. The church is making a difference in people’s lives and contributing to the community to reflect Christ’s love.
Together we’re supporting a community transport initiative, which mentors learner drivers so they can improve employment opportunities. Our support of a passionate ministry coordinator, Jivan, also enables a sports ministry, which promotes community inclusion and fosters hope and dignity.
It’s wonderful to see a local church responding to the needs of intercultural communities in their neighbourhood in creative, courageous and contextual ways. It’s a privilege to partner with this ministry in Hobart – join us!
