There are barriers to the sharing and receiving of the Gospel, particularly within communities with very few followers of Jesus. However we believe that through prayer and in God’s timing, these barriers can be overcome. The measure of our collective faith can and does move mountains.
At Baptist Mission Australia, we regularly pray for those who partner with our ministry in prayer. We invite you to pray for God’s Spirit to be moving within those who are praying and moving through their prayers. Your job is to pray for those who are praying.
Be familiar with the four key areas of prayer
- Barriers to be overcome
- New followers of Jesus
- God’s people serving interculturally
- More intercultural team members
Ask God to receive the prayers of all who are praying
Key area 1: New followers of Jesus
Read the accompanying scriptures and claim these scriptures into the lives of new followers of Jesus: Colossians 1:13, Ephesians 2:19, 2 Timothy 1:7, Philippians 1:6
Key area 2: God’s people serving interculturally
Read the accompanying scriptures and claim these scriptures into the lives of God’s people serving interculturally: Matthew 5:13-14, John 15:1-5, Acts 1:8, 1 Corinthians 12:27
Do this as often as you can over the weekend, interceding for your prayer group and all who are praying locally and abroad.
