John

National Worker in Vietnam

John is a local Vietnamese man who has joined our team as a national worker. His ministry is one of empowerment and investment of the next generation.

“My name is John I was born and raised in a Christian family in a poor, remote village. Coming from a large family of ten siblings, I am the only one among them – and in fact, the only one in my village – to have completed both high school and university. From a young age, I have been actively involved in church ministry, especially serving in Sunday School and youth ministry.

Growing up in a disadvantaged environment has shaped my heart and vision. I believe that the young people in my village today face the same challenges I once did. If I was able to overcome them, I am confident they can too. That is why I am passionate about holistically investing in the next generation. I desire to bring transformation by challenging old traditions, shifting mindsets, and equipping young people with the tools they need to grow and thrive.

My approach includes teaching English, life skills and sports, as well as grounding them in Kingdom values. I aim to inspire and empower them to step out of their comfort zones, pursue their education with diligence, and develop into confident individuals who can impact their community for good.

I am fully aware that transforming a culture or a generation is not an easy task. It is a long-term mission that requires time, patience, and faith. Therefore, I humbly ask for your prayers – for my work, for my health, and for a heart that remains passionate and steadfast. I believe this is not a short-term endeavor, but a journey that may take years before its fruits are fully seen.”

Please note:
Gifts to John are TAX DEDUCTIBLE.

Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.
