Last week’s flash flooding in the Nepal-Tibet border region has caused mass devastation. Pray for those who have been left with nothing, may they have access to clean water, food and medical supplies. Pray for the humanitarian teams providing aid to impacted communities, may they be able to reach all who need assistance.

Pray for people who have lost family members and friends in the floods and for those still looking for missing people. In the midst such tragic circumstances may miracles happen and may more people be found alive.

Give thanks that the first intern has joined Daz and Bee’s baristaship training program. Pray that through the program this intern will experience God’s love. Pray that God will lead Daz and Bee as they seek another intern to join the team.

Pray for Simon and Widya as they travel to South East Asia in mid-September. Pray that during this time they will be able to reconnect meaningfully with local colleagues, partners and projects, discussing how they can better support them from Australia.

Today and tomorrow leaders from across our Australian Baptist Movement will gather in Canberra to meet with Members of Parliament and Senators. This year the advocacy focus is domestic and family violence. Pray that these conversations will be part of positive change that leads to better outcomes for women and children.

This year Teagan (National Team) and Hedda (Board) will represent Baptist Mission Australia at Converge. Pray for them and other Converge delegates as they advocate for the just ways of Jesus.

Leaders from across our mission community are currently gathering in Thailand to collaborate, reflect, share ideas and seek God’s leading for future ministry. Pray for the Spirit’s leading as they partner together and learn from each other.

Give thanks that Arthur has received his exit visa and can now be reunited with Josie and his children after a long time of waiting. Pray for his family as they settle into life in Australia.

Praise God that a new translator, Cassimo, has joined Tobias and the Bible translation project team. Cassimo comes from a village located in the heart of Yawo territory, give thanks for his skills.
