Married in 2022, KimLean and Cate have hearts for holistic spiritual, mental and physical transformation within people, families and communities. Through small groups, one on one mentoring, football (soccer) coaching, outdoor adventure activities, and spiritual practices, such as meditation, KimLean walks alongside Khmer teenagers and men.
Cate journeys alongside young women through a Community Program and with staff at a local non-government organisation. Cate has also recently joined one day a week with the team at Language of the Heart, led by teammate Rachel Hutchinson.
Together, KimLean and Cate also share life in community in their home, living together with five Khmer men. Through their home, KimLean and Cate seek to create an environment where people can gather to share rice and explore issues of identity, healing, reconciliation, faith and spirituality through life stories and meditative practices.
KimLean and Cate’s vision is for creating a communal home and garden where, through local practices, Khmer people can experience God’s rest and journey towards Jesus. They need people and churches to partner with them prayerfully and financially as they serve.
