Motorbikes will help midwives better care for women and babies in remote communities during critical moments.

Two maternal and child health teams have been meeting the needs of women in remote areas of South Asia for a number of years. They travel into villages, visiting women and babies in their homes to provide timely and sensitive pre-natal, birth and ante-natal services. They also provide training for woman in the villages.

Felicity and the team are looking to purchase two motorbikes, one for each team of midwives. This will make access to the villages simpler as they will no longer need to spend hours on public transport and walking with supplies. Having motorbikes will enable quicker care for mums and bubs, which can be lifesaving in critical moments of birth.

With your support, Felicity and the team can purchase two motorbikes, helmets and cover the cost of licensing and registration. Our partner NGO will cover the costs of maintenance and ongoing registration in the long-term.

Show practical love for families in remote communities by investing in critical maternal and child healthcare services.
