Recently ‘Daniel’, an international student I am journeying with, shared his story of coming to faith.
It was so encouraging to hear how he is experiencing genuine transformation through knowing Jesus. In response to the question, “What do you want to see God do in and through your life next year?”, Daniel shared this beautiful, heartfelt prayer:
Dear Heavenly Father,
I’m grateful for your mercy and revelation that has changed me.
In my next year, please let me connect with you more closely, and let me know how to pass your love and kindness to the one in need.
Use my hands to serve, my words to comfort, and my life to testify to Your truth. Show me those who are weary and forgotten, that I may bring Your light to them in humility and compassion.
My Lord, grant me the courage to walk in Your will, without hesitation, fear, or doubt. If I am not yet prepared, then let me endure more trials until I am ready in Your sight.
Teach me to listen to Your voice in stillness, and to find peace not in results, but in Your presence. Let every day begin and end with gratitude, and let my heart rest where You dwell. And when I cannot see the path ahead, remind me that Your plan is still perfect.
My will is Yours, my journey is Yours — forever and always.
In Jesus name,
Amen
This prayer is such a wonderful testimony of God’s transforming power and it’s something that we can all take with us into this new year.
