Ciyawo Gospel Songs
Ministry in Malawi
With a heart to see Yawo people grow in their faith in Jesus, take ownership of it and find creative avenues to express this faith in an oral culture, this project has come about to support the development and publishing of Gospel songs in Ciyawo.
Our team member Joyce has a passion and gift for music and song. She has been writing Ciyawo songs for a few years and through seeing people’s excitement to have their own Gospel songs, this new ministry opportunity is starting. Through years of trust and relationship building, together with local faith leaders and chiefs, followers of Jesus have been identified 10 local Yawo to join Joyce in this project.
Over the next year, Joyce and the team of 10 will be practicing, singing and recording five songs.
