Joe

He has been shaped by his own migrant experience of coming from China as a five-year-old, as well as attending and serving at his home church (Beverly Hills Chinese Baptist Church) for 20 years. In this time he has experienced first hand the challenges faced by migrant churches, especially the integration of the first and second generation communities.

Joe is joining the Australian Intercultural Team. His vision is to see a network of churches partnering together and representing the cultural diversity of Auburn – a suburb in Sydney where 89% of households speak a language other than English. Within this vision, he will be leading a new English-speaking intercultural church plant. He will also be collaborating with leaders of other language and cultural specific churches from within the network to reach Auburn for Christ.

Joe and his family are seeking churches and individuals to come alongside in financial support and prayer.

Please pray for Joe that he will live in reliance on God and step out in faith to pioneer this project. Pray for healthy partnership and cross-cultural communication between the different churches in the network.
