Susan Campbell, our Associate Executive Director, was in Cambodia recently and had the chance to meet David, an emerging leader.
David is a friend of team members Rours and Reaksmey, and Suse asked him about his experience as a young believer in Cambodia.
Here’s a transcript of what David shares in the video above:
“Chom reap suor! Hello, everyone. I am David and I’m 23 years old. I live in Siem Reap in Cambodia and right now, I am studying my fourth year of university. I also work as social staff in an education department and am an early music teacher. I organise activities for teenagers so they can come and take part in church also.
I am a Christian. We believe in Jesus. And people around the world, as Christians they know Jesus is their Saviour. But for me, what it really means is, He is the one who is beyond time. When we trust Him and we spend time with God, He’s faithful to us also.
I have a prayer request for you guys, please help me to pray for Cambodia. You might already know that right now, we have a conflict at the border. Please pray that the people of Cambodia feel a peace inside and won’t be frustrated or think too much about the conflict.
I would also love you to help me to pray that I can be brave enough to work in ministry. In the future, I want to be a worship leader so I can lead people closer to God and help them to experience His presence. This is my prayer request. Thank you!”
Pray with us for David and other Khmer believers, and for our team as they journey alongside them.
