We’ve loved seeing all the ways people got involved in Walk the World!

Here’s a glimpse of how Aussie Baptists walked the world this year…

A group of us had a great little prayer walk around Auburn. We saw some tower buildings near the station, and one of the women said that she wants to start praying regularly that each apartment building will have a Bible study meeting by the end of next year… what a bold prayer! We also joined the Sydney Nepali Church for their worship service and then had Nepalese lunch with some of the leaders.” – Tash

LifeWay Baptist Church in Devonport was excited to take part in Walk the World this year, especially as praying for our community and the world has been a big focus of ours for 2025. Our total distance walked this year was 252.85 kms, which we did through a number of organised group prayer walks as well as through some big individual efforts. Thanks to Baptist Mission Australia for running Walk the World again, we love being part of this annual nation-wide prayer event.” – Phoebe

My kids went out with few friends on Saturday to pray. They prayed for world peace, for victims of wars, people with no country and for those that are oppressed.” – Natalisa

On Sunday 9th November our Walla Walla & District Church took part in Walk the World. We set out after our service in cars and on foot. We stopped at the Police Station where we gave God thanks for our policeman and prayed for safety for him and his family. We stopped at the sportsground where we gave thanks for our many volunteers and Council workers. Finally we enjoyed a simple lunch and asked God’s blessing on those who will come to live on our new housing development.” – Alan

Thanks to everyone who engaged in Walk the World this year. And special thanks to those who sent in photos and let us know what you got up to! It’s so encouraging to know people are joining together in prayer for local communities, Australia and the world. What a gift that we can talk to our Creator God who loves the world He has created.

Let’s continue to pray for our beautiful, yet broken world.
