As we look at the world each day, there are two different lenses we can choose to see through. The lens of brokenness, or the lens of restoration.
Brokenness is all around us. I see it in all the places our team members and partners serve. If we choose to only see the world through a lens of brokenness we will be overwhelmed and, like too many across the globe, we will live with a sense of hopelessness.
For 150 years Baptist Mission Australia – supported by our passionate and mission-minded Australian Baptist movement – has chosen to see the world through the lens of restoration.
In a world of increasing polarisation, we choose to actively break down barriers and build bridges with people different to us. We choose to love because He first loved us! (1 John 4:19) Our teams and ministry partners make themselves available to move beyond comfort zones so they can love and serve others, by word and deed, locally and globally.
