The What’s Love Look Like? Children’s Resource is a launching pad for primary school aged group discussions and activities. Each of the sessions can be used as part of the full What’s Love Look Like? series or as a standalone resource.
For each session, there is an opening game, discussion prompts, a key Bible passage, memory verse and interactive activity.

How to use this resource
The What’s Love Look Like? Children’s Resource is a four session curriculum for primary aged children. The focus of this resource is for kids to grow in their understanding of how they can relate to the world and other people with love, like Jesus.
Each session is 30-40 minutes. There are four steps; game, storytelling and discussion, activity and prayer. These all come together to explore the focus idea of that session. We encourage you to add, remove or change elements of this guide to make it work for you and your group.

Focus: Fruits of the Spirit
Key scripture: 1 John 4:11-12 & Galatians 5:22-23
Activity: Creating fruits of the Spirit to remind kids that we can’t be more like Jesus by ourselves.

Focus: Caring for creation
Key scripture: Psalm 19:1-4a
Activity: Show love for God’s creation by planting and nurturing new growth.

Activity: Create something beautiful out of off cuts and scraps, reflecting how God makes all things new.

Go deeper
Engage you kids church with mission and the world throughout the year with the Go Deeper resource. This has a range of creative and simple ideas to help children grow an understanding and love of God’s big world. You could choose one week a month to incorporate a 5-10 minute Go Deeper idea. This will help to bridge the gaps between What’s Love Look Like? sessions and help children look outside of themselves and their own experiences.
