More Like Jesus
Children
The More Like Jesus Children’s Resource is a launching pad for primary school aged group discussions and activities. Each of the sessions can be used as part of the full More Like Jesus series or as a standalone resource.
For each session, a characteristic of Jesus is featured as a way to explore how we can all become more like Jesus. There are discussion prompts, a key Bible story or passage, memory verse and key activity for each session.

How to use this resource
The More Like Jesus Children’s Resource is a four session curriculum for primary aged children. The focus of this resource is for kids to grow in their understanding of who Jesus is, and how they can become more like Him.
There are four steps to each session; storytelling and discussion, memorising time, activity and prayer. These all come together to explore the focus characteristic of that session. We encourage you to add, remove or change elements of this guide to make it work for you and your group.

Key scripture: Mark 1:16-20
Activity: Creating a visual display together that will be used as a teaching tool for the rest of the series.

Key scripture: Mark 1:29-34, 40-42
Activity: Doing a craft that reminds children that they can show care to others in everyday ways.

Activity: Doing a puzzle together as an illustration of patience and working together.

Go deeper
Engage you kids church with mission and the world throughout the year with the Go Deeper resource. This has a range of creative and simple ideas to help children grow an understanding and love of God’s big world. You could choose one week a month to incorporate a 5-10 minute Go Deeper idea. This will help to bridge the gaps between May Mission Month sessions and help children look outside of themselves and their own experiences.
