God’s Spirit is at work in amazing ways across Asia-Pacific. The region faces huge challenges, but there are also wonderful opportunities to share the hope of Jesus by word and deed in diverse local communities – from huge mega cities to isolated villages.

As well as actively engaging in the Asia Pacific Baptist Federation (APBF) networks, Baptist Mission Australia co-sponsors the vital and strategic APBF Director of Mission role.

The highly experienced and gifted Baptist leader, Rev. Ardi Wiriadinata, serves as the Director of Mission. Based in Indonesia, Ardi has a passionate commitment to fostering missional collaboration across the region, so more people can experience the transforming love and hope of Jesus.

The Director of Mission role supports the development of mission-focused leaders, church planting initiatives, regional mission consultations and innovative missional collaborations.

Our partnership with APBF and our support of this strategic role is aligned with our strong commitment to foster greater missional collaboration across the global south. The Holy Spirit is shaping a new era of partnership in Asia and we want to play our part in the new and exciting things God is doing, in a region desperate for the hope only Jesus can bring.
