Vital to our wonderful faith story has been the passionate engagement of women and men from across our churches, who have stood with us in prayer, generosity and service. A key, strategic volunteering opportunity at Baptist Mission Australia is service on our Board’s Finance Committee.
Our Finance Committee exists to assist the Board in understanding and oversighting the effective use of our financial resources. This includes ensuring we have in place effective financial management approaches, policies and systems, budget monitoring, investment and sustainability strategies and financial compliance requirements.
The committee is chaired by a member of the Board. The Finance Committee currently meets online four times a year.
We are seeking expressions of interest from suitably gifted and experienced people interested in finding out more about serving on the committee.
Suitable candidates will have experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Accounting and financial management
- Financial systems
- Corporate management
- NFP or church financial administration
- Investments
- Fundraising
