Disability Ministry

‘Pheasa Duongchet’ (Language of the Heart) is a not-for-profit organisation that supports Cambodian children living with disabilities and their families. It enables children to participate more fully in their communities, as well as encourage and network families in need of support.

Language of the Heart assists children to develop functional skills and builds capacity of their caregivers. Providing communication and play based therapy input to this often isolated and marginalised group, improves their communication and behavioural outcomes.

Christian team members build deep relationships with families, seeing more people experiencing and expressing the transforming love and hope of Jesus.

The partner should have experience working in the disability sector (ideally speech pathology or occupational therapy, or can manage a small team that provides client services). The role includes overseeing the program, supporting and training staff to ensure quality service provision, and building relationships with staff and families.

We see God’s Spirit at work though Language of the Heart and welcome conversations and discernment as we explore creative partnership possibilities.
