Across the Street
Local Mission Stories
Across the Street is a resource series for church leaders.
We celebrate that the world has come to Australia and yet recognise that this brings additional complexities as we seek to share God’s love across cultures, languages and backgrounds. Through this series, we will meet leaders from Australian Baptist Churches who are engaging with their local community in creative ways. We pray this series sparks questions and ideas for you and your church as you engage with your local community.
On this page, you will find the full conversations. Head to the episode pages to discover the full resource, including short versions of the videos and discussion questions.
Story Two:
Across the Street in Sydney
In this episode, Nathan Reid heads to the heart of Sydney to meet the Central Baptist Church team.
Be inspired as you hear how sharing God’s love in practical ways sparked the forming of the Thai congregation, their global Kingdom vision and the complexities they navigate as an intercultural church.
