Vedu, Sekedu, and their daughter Mezino hail from Nagaland, India. Their sending church is part of the Chakhesang Baptist Church Council in Northeast India. This association has 50 families actively serving within the country but has yet to formally send an intercultural worker to another nation. We have been privileged to engage in a journey of relationship building and prayerful discernment with the Chakhesang Baptist Church Council, and we are excited to announce our partnership in sending.
Their local church and Mission agency have identified and warmly endorsed Vedu, Sekedu, and Mezino as candidates to join our team in Cambodia.
Vedu brings valuable experience and giftedness to our team, having lived and worked in Cambodia for almost seven years. She is warm and relational and brings a strong background in faith sharing and discipleship with young adults, having lived alongside them in a dormitory setting. Upon returning to India, she met and married Sekedu.
In recent years, Sekedu has experienced a renewal of faith, and together with Vedu, they feel a deep sense of call to mission in Cambodia. Sekedu has a background in IT and marketing. He has a quiet depth and brings a steady, caring, and non-anxious presence to ministry. They complement each other well in life and ministry.
It has been a privilege for us to journey with the Chakhesang Baptist Church Council, Vedu and Sekedu, and we are excited about this new collaboration in mission.
