There is no Medicare in Mozambique, so keeping healthy and getting medical help when it is needed can be expensive. Cam and Kath and their family make sure to visit their dentist and doctor for regular check-ups to make sure everyone remains healthy. Part of this is maintaining their immunisations to protect them from various bugs and germs to which they are regularly exposed.
These preventative healthcare needs are unable to be met locally so they must travel to Malawi and even South Africa on occasions to get the care required. In the case of an emergency, there is also insurance to cover evacuations if the need arises. These evacuations have literally been life-savers in the past.
Through supporting this project, you will help their family keep up their general health checks and be covered in the case of an emergency so they can continue doing life among the Yawo of Mozambique for the long-term.
This is an annual project. Any gifts received above the target amount will contribute to next year's budget.
Gifts to this project are NOT TAX DEDUCTIBLE.
