Ben shares an exciting story and reflects on the way God uses us as part of His plan.
Ben shares, ‘In 1 Corinthians 3:6 Paul writes, “I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the growth.”
Petra and I have always been mindful that we are part of our Father’s Kingdom work that involves many different people doing many different things. Recently, I was lining up for coffee at our faith community gathering when a young lady named ‘Kay’ started talking with me. “You’re a pastor” she said to me, “I’ve got a few questions.” I told her I thought it would be best for her to meet with my wife and so, soon after, she and Petra met for coffee.
Kay came to the meeting with two pages worth of questions!
Over the course of two very long meetings, Petra and Kay talked about all sorts of things. One of the fascinating topics was a dream that Kay had of a man in white. She described a feeling of “exponential love,” something she had never experienced before. God was clearly moving in her life. At the end of their second meeting, she came to the realisation that she had a choice to make, and she decided that she wanted to follow Jesus!
We often talk about planting seeds and not knowing if or when they will germinate. It was a real blessing for Petra to be there at the end (or the beginning if you like) of this journey for Kay.
Please be asking that the Holy Spirit will continue to work in Kay’s life! Pray for us as we journey alongside her in faith.’
