Baptist Mission Australia partners with Sharing Hope who support Karen refugees and internally displaced communities.
This project supports Hsa Mu Per Medical Clinic and Mission School for 12 months to ensure access to basic medical care and education continue. The medical clinic is accessed by 2,000 people who come from 30 villages, travelling between 30 minutes and up to 12 hours to access treatment for common illnesses and minor injuries. The school is operating in the jungle to maximise safety for the youth and teachers. By ensuring teacher wages are covered, 265 students not only have continuity in their education but also have access to food and greater protection from the day-to-day challenges in the conflict.
